If you’re looking for the best easy freezer to table dinner, this pizza burgers recipe using BUBBA burgers is the recipe for you! This is a 15 minute meal made with only 5 ingredients! You’re going to want to add it to your dinner rotation and love how easy it is to make.
If you’re anything like me sometimes at the end of a long day working, watching the kids, brain fried from…everything…you just want something easy for dinner. Something everyone is actually going to eat, and something that is no fuss.
I remember my parents grabbing BUBBA burgers for grilling because they are burgers that go from the freezer to the grill or skillet (in 10 minutes or less) and have clean ingredients. But that was years ago.
Now that I have my own family, I’m always looking for high-quality, super easy to prepare products.
As I was walking by the freezer section at the grocery store, the familiar BUBBA burger box caught my eye so I decided to try them again for myself.
OH MY GOODNESS, game changer! I’m not even kidding, these burgers need to find a permanent spot in your freezer, I know they’ll be in mine.
You take a burger out of the freezer (I love how they’re packaged too by the way – you can take out one, two or all of them in the box, and they’re easy to remove because they’re individual burgers with paper separating them) and you literally put them on the grill or in a skillet. Best part? They’re done cooking in 10 minutes. Yup – freezer to done in TEN MINUTES! Now that’s my kind of meal – fast and easy! I also love the easy to follow cooking instructions on the box.
I used BUBBA Original Beef burgers for these pizza burgers. They’re made with 1 ingredient: 100% USDA Choice Chuck beef and are naturally gluten free. If you’re gluten free, you can totally modify this recipe and just replace the buns with a gluten free bun.
This pizza burgers recipe couldn’t be easier. They’re made with a BUBBA Original Beef burger, a generous spread of pizza sauce on a brioche bun, a slice of mozzarella cheese and a slice of uncured pepperoni. That’s it.
They’re so so so good!! My husband said they reminded him of a pizza burger he used to have as a kid, so he said there was definitely a nostalgia factor, but that this version was better. A bonus? These pizza burgers are totally kid approved. As a mom, nothing makes me happier than when my kids eat what I’m cooking and love it – and I feel so good about giving them BUBBA burgers which has only 1 clean ingredient (100% choice chuck beef!), free of additives or preservatives.
I cannot emphasize enough how much I loved having these BUBBA burgers around – I told my husband “we need to have these in the freezer at all times” and he agreed, BUBBA burger is there when you need a quick dinner.
If you’re a busy person (or a busy parent with picky eaters at home) looking for an easy dinner idea, I’d highly recommend picking up a box of BUBBA Original Beef and making these pizza burgers!

I made a round of turkey burgers last week and topped them with Swiss, caramelized onions, jalapeño and garlic aioli. They were delicious and no one minded that they were turkey because the flavor was so great.
Sweetphi says
Oh yum, Love a good mushroom and swiss and love the sound of making them with turkey burgers!

Leann says
If it’s a home cooked burger, I like a slice of melted cheese, lettuce, a good summer tomato, pickle slices, ketchup, mustard & Duke’s mayo. There’s a little mom and pop burger place in the town I grew up in…it’s the only place I’ll order onions on a burger…and there you have to get the all the way cheeseburger with chili, onions, slaw and mustard. It’s sooo good, and sooo messy! It sops through the piece of wax paper it’s wrapped in and also through the white paper bag they put in in. Then as you eat it, it’s guaranteed that the juices will run down your arm. Yum!
Sweetphi says
Yum… such a good sounding burger!
Linda Bick says
Onions my burgers have to have onions!
Sweetphi says
Love that, sounds amazing!

Thanks for the reminder about Bubba burgers. I haven’t had them in ages, but just added it to my shopping list for this week. I’ll definitely be trying your yummy looking pizza burgers.
Our usual toppings for burgers include lettuce, tomato, some type of cheese (cheddar, swiss, or pepper jack), and sometimes those flat pickle stackers. Sometimes we do sauteed mushrooms, or caramelized onions. If I’m too lazy for that, I’ll just put some guacamole on the burgers. Also, I sometimes spread a thick blue cheese dressing on the burger roll. Another topping I like is sriracha mayo (I mix up 1/2 cup of mayo and 2-3 TBSP of sriracha and always have that in a jar n the fridge.) We’re always changing it up.
Sweetphi says
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment, I hope you love the pizza burgers!

We just have burgers off the grill earlier this week. I put ketchup, mayo, onion and a tomato slice on them. Some day I want to try and make one of the “special sauce” recipes that I have pinned. Just never think of it when we make dinner, always think of it after. ?
Sweetphi says
Aren’t burgers just so good? Ok, for the “special sauce” I have a recipe coming up that you absolutely have to try!! I always forget to make them at dinner, so I started making this one remoulade type special sauce and it is seriously the best thing ever. I make a container randomly and keep it in the fridge and it’s good on burgers, sandwiches, as a dip, with veggies, etc. It’s coming in the next two weeks, but I just added some to these burgers and wowza, so good.
Monica says
Looking forward to seeing your special sauce recipe ?
Kimberley Melander says
Get a can of whole, mild green chiles. Give them a quick flash in a pan or throw them on the grill to heat through. In a small mixing bowl, mix together equal parts chunky salsa and mayo. Make a batch of guacamole. Cook your burgers and top with a couple of the green chiles. Melt a slice of pepper jack cheese over the chiles. Spread some salsa-mayo on both sides of the bun. Add the chile burger and top with some guacamole. Serve with extra napkins! Happiest 4th to you and your sweet family!
Sweetphi says
Oh wow, those burgers sound amazing. I make a turkey burger like that a little with the mild green chiles, I cannot wait to try your version!
Stephanie says
Oh gosh yes BUBBA burger. I haven’t had one in a long time. Thank you for reminding me? I need one right now!! My favorite burger would have ketchup & mayo with grilled onions – lettuce & home grown tomatoes. I hope you & your family have a safe relaxing 4th!!
Sweetphi says
Aren’t BUBBA burgers the best? I hadn’t had them in a while and now have them twice (if not more) a week because they’re such an easy amazing dinner! And your favorite burger sounds so good…nothing beats home grown tomatoes.
melissa says
I am extremely plain Jane with my burgers—I tend to go with just cheese and that’s it!! I am definitely going to check out these bubba burgers especially since the burgers my husband makes sometimes are way to thick for my liking and these look like a manageable thickness so yay!
Melissa says
*TOO thick! Silly autocorrect!!
Sweetphi says
I am totally with you – I don’t love burgers that are too thick. These BUBBA burgers are so perfect in thickness, and they’re so easy they just make dinner so easy!
Susan Craig says
I like a slice of garden tomato and a ring or 2 of sweet onion. Those look delicous.
Sweetphi says
Nothing better than a garden tomato on top of a burger. You know, I haven’t had fresh tomatoes on burgers a lot, so I’m definitely going to need to do that on these as soon as my tomatoes ripen enough.
ShonTa’ says
My favorite burger toppings are sunnyside egg, pepper jack cheese, hot dog chili, slice tomato, avocado, red onions, mustard and coleslaw
Sweetphi says
Oh an egg on a burger!!! YES, I always forget about that, such a good topping.
Patricia Caradonna says
Pizza burger looks yummy. Extra cheese please
Sweetphi says
I’m with you – I love extra cheese!
Erik says
My favorite burger topping is a little untraditional: bacon, pickles and peanut butter. The creaminess of the peanut butter, the salty crunch bacon and the vinegar bite of the pickles work so well together.
Sweetphi says
I’ve heard of peanut butter on burgers, but I’ve never tried it – you sold me on your description though, definitely going to need to try it out!
Mary W says
Our family is a traditional burger topping group – ketchup, mustard, cheese or maybe a little mayo with tomato and lettuce. I am definitely trying your pizza burger recipe. I will substitute Provolone cheese for the mozzarella simply because that’s what’s in the fridge. Sounds like dinner to me!
Sweetphi says
I think you’re going to love the pizza burgers, we’ve had them so many times, they’re just a fun unique easy burger!! And we too love a good traditional burger.
